Mentoring Across Horizons: Democratise Mentorship for All

Embarking on my mentoring journey in 2020 marked a significant chapter in my professional and personal growth. Guiding designers from diverse corners of the globe in reviewing portfolios and sharing insights on design, advertising, and UI/UX has not only shaped my career but also contributed immensely to my leadership skills and broader perspective.

Leadership Skills:

Mentoring has honed my leadership skills, particularly in the realm of active listening. Leading a team requires finesse in communication, and mentoring has taught me the importance of maintaining constant eye contact, adopting open body language, avoiding interruptions, and listening without judgment. These techniques have become instrumental in fostering effective collaboration and understanding within the teams I lead.

Broadened Perspective:

Interacting with mentees from varied backgrounds, cultures, industries, ages, and countries has been an eye-opening experience. This diversity has been a catalyst for enriching my thinking and problem-solving skills. Exposure to different viewpoints has enabled me to approach challenges with creativity, considering new solutions that might not have surfaced within my own worldview.

Mastering the Art of Storytelling:

Mentoring is not just about imparting directives; it's about guiding through shared experiences. Through storytelling based on my professional journey, I've been able to inspire and empower mentees to kickstart their own paths.
